Truly
Inspiring
KC Ford of GettingThere4Him was a presenter recently at LifeLine's
Health Education Legacy Project (HELP), a 9-month wellness program
that focuses on diabetes prevention for minority women and their families.
As a presenter at two of our HELP sessions, Ms. Ford was charged with
motivating the women so they can be better prepared to take care of
themselves, for it is easier to be guided if you know where you are
going. Her message inspired the women to empower their entire support
systems, which will allow more time for themselves — “me
time.”
The message was truly inspiring and helped them to better understand
how essential it is to take time out for yourself for a healthier
you. She will be returning to inspire the families of the participants.

An
Excellent Motivational Force
KC recently was invited to be a speaker at our school's Career Day.
I found her to possess an innate ability to motivate. She discussed
with the children the importance of believing in themselves and never
giving up on their dreams. KC was able to actively involve them in
her highly energized presentation, which included interactive skits
and discussion. As a result, my class truly believes that “You
can do it!” Not only did the students find her inspirational,
but the teachers did also. She is an excellent motivational force!

Helped
Set the Tone of What the Event was Designed to Convey
Thank you for participating in Prince George´s County Public
Schools´ Minority Business Program´s first B2B Empowerment
and Networking Exchange recently held at the Zealia Centre on October
18, 2005. Your topic, “Networking with a Purpose” helped
set the tone of what the event was designed to convey. Based on the
evaluations, you did just that, and we thank you.
Your support and assistance with presenting the door prizes was also
a great help. Continued best wishes as you encourage individuals to
keep looking up.

Me Look at What Really Matters
GettingThere4Him is such a great concept. After attending one of KC´s
workshops, I fully understand what the name means. One of the exercises
from the workshop is coming to reality for me, months later. But staying
focused isn't´t easy. When I remember the things she said that
afternoon, it helps me to look at what really matters—HIM. Anyone
that hears KC speak will be touched like never before. Also, the gardenia
candles are my absolute favorite.
Excellent work, KC, please keep it up!

Everyone
Needs to Hear What KC Has to Say
When KC first told me about her seminar, I thought 'why do I need
to attend a seminar to tell me what I already know.' I knew I put
everybody and everything before me. I knew that every day at the end
of the day, what was left over would drag the poor remains, formerly
known as me, to bed so I can get up and do the exact same thing all
over again the next day. I knew all this. I didn't need KC to tell
me. I mean, I'm a Mom, 'what can you do about it?'
“Plenty!” says KC. KC´s seminar gives you the tools
and many ideas on how to stop working hard and start working smart.
The one thing that resonated the most with me is the idea that by
doing everything myself and not allowing others to do the things that
need to be done, I´m enabling them; that in some ways, I was
actually stifling the growth of others by not allowing them to do
things for themselves.
Her seminar was fun, too. It was actually the first thing I did in
a long time that was for me. When she spoke of all the things we should
do for ourselves, I was sitting there thinking, “I used to do
that for myself. When did I stop? Why did I stop?” I guess I
knew but I didn't´t realize, which sounds weird but it's true.
It was a gradual thing and I kept meaning to get back to me, but there
was never time. So what did I learn? You can never 'make' time for
yourself; you have to 'take' the time. So, I'm taking the time to
do things for ME, because a less stressed 'Mommy' is really better
for everyone.
“Left over Mommy, left over me™!” I know she says
Mommy but everyone needs to hear what KC has to say. Not just Mommy's
but Daddy's as well. Everyone in today´s world can do with a
seminar like this one that will make you STOP and actually think about
what are you giving back to yourself.

A
Special Treat
During the Grand Opening of the Blessed 24:7 Gift Shop, it was a day
of celebration with family and friends. I wanted the day to be extra
special by giving my guests a special treat. The treat was having
KC Ford come and speak to my family, friends and guests. KC has a
message and a way of motivating others. There where all ages in the
group from young adults to grandparents, men, women, boys and girls.
I thought it was very special that when KC finished her session, the
younger children thanked her for her message. KC was able to captivate
them and keep their full attention. Thank YOU KC for making it a day
to remember.
